Quality Assurance Lead Engineer – Flight Software

The Quality Assurance Lead Engineerwill lead the testing effort for the Flight Software program working onsite in our Los Gatos, CA office location. This role is considered a hands-on individual contributor role as well as a Lead.
The ideal candidate has experience as an individual contributor with quality assurance engineering, test engineering, automation of testing tasks as well as leading testing of one or more products or areas of a product.
This position will report to the Director of Test and Integration and will work closely with the test teams for Flight Software, Guidance Navigation Control and Development Engineering. This position is located our Los Gatos, CA office.

Requirements
Coding position primarily in Python and creating Python Automation, C/C++
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering/CS/EE/Mechanical/Physics/Aerospace with 7 years’ experience
- +5 years in system performance and/or quality assurance engineering and/or network operations for a mobile or satellite operator or infrastructure or devices manufacturer
- +3 years’ experience leading groups, projects, teams in a quality assurance role
- Demonstrated working knowledge of automation, ability to develop automation and an automated regression test suite, and testing tools and the QA Lead Engineer will need to be an individual contributor in this area.
- Spacecraft systems engineering experience with integration and test experience
- Experience hands on automating testing, leading test teams and test projects, providing status
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills (including collaborative communication skills) and excellent written and oral communication
- Experience with multiple LEO satellite programs and satellite System Engineering Integration and Test and Launch and Initialization (L&I) activities
- Work in a fast-paced startup environment with short development times
- Agile / Scrum development
- Test Automation creation / Test case management systems
- Experience with Python, C/C++ for testing and automation, and MPL, Scripting
- Linux and Windows Operating Systems, AWS Cloud Experience, CI/CD Pipeline
- Experience with auto coding using MATLAB, Simulink
- Jira / Confluence / Grafana / Control Systems
